Thoughts after 2 days with the iPhone 3G
I’ve had the iPhone for a couple of days now and thought I would start listing features that I have found to be missing, or improvements I would like. I will add to this over time, then I can tick each one off if/when Apple decide to implement the changes
- You can’t forward SMS messages
- Unable to mark all emails as ‘read’
- Deleting multiple contacts
I’m sure I will come accross a few other things in the next few days. Having said that, I am totally loving my new toy!!

How do you change your tones (ring and message) away from the standard cack that is supplied? For instance, I do I go about setting a song that is in my iTunes as my ring tone?
Another one for your list, when porting the numbers across from you old SIM card, the format is different to when submitting new contacts on to the phone. Just a minor issue really.
Also, and I am clutching at straws to keep my phone on parity with yours… I have a metal back that is more “robust” than your plastic back in case of a bit of a dropping incident…

Ringtones, not tried it myself but read here http://lifehacker.com/software/how-to/create-custom-iphone-ringtones-the-free-and-apple-way-334073.php
I have had to type all my contacts in manually from my K610i.
Yeah, i am pretty paranoid about that plastic back. Only time will tell how durable it is.
